Project Carulla 4000 | Supermarkets Carulla, Colombia

The new generation of Carulla´s stores with “format 4000´) bets on the category management and the optimization of spaces. They have been the pioneers in it and have taken an influential step in the Colombian Retail. Grupo OM has worked on this plan closely to them. It has been used several versions of our Optimus System with the aim to organize many families of products that Carulla wanted to improve to easy the shopping to their clients.
The main implemented families have been: dairy, arepas, sausages, butcher´s, delicatessen, chocolates, bakery and personal care. All of them had the challenge to offer a clear and organized facing in their shelves.
Apart from all these changes in FMCG, Grupo OM has involved in many other elements that all together have done that Carulla has become the leader in its sector.
Along the last part of the year 2014, especially November and December, these new “format 4000” have been applied to 7 stores whose 2 were opening stores and 5 were reformed ones. It will be extended gradually to the whole shop network in order to cover all the brand.
